Gift Experience Terms of Service

Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions apply to all A-Breed-Apart Gift Experience vouchers.


By purchasing or redeeming a voucher, you agree to the following:

1. About The A-Breed-Apart Gift Experience

1.1 The Gift Experience is a premium, live-in housesitting and pet care service delivered personally by Glenn & Mandy of A-Breed-Apart.

1.2 The service includes pet care, home care, and daily updates, as described on the Gift Experience webpage.

1.3 The Gift Experience is not a guarantee of availability on specific dates. All bookings remain subject to availability and service alignment.

2. Eligibility & Pre-Check

2.1 A Gift Experience voucher may only be purchased following successful completion of the Gift Experience Pre-Check by the buyer.

2.2 The Pre-Check ensures that the recipient’s home, pets, and general care needs align with A-Breed-Apart’s specialist service model.

2.3 Eligibility is reconfirmed at the point of redemption, based on the recipient’s current pet and home details.

2.4 A-Breed-Apart reserves the right to decline a redemption if the household circumstances no longer align with the service model (for example: a change of property, new pets with incompatible care needs, significant behavioural issues, or location changes outside the service area).

3. Voucher Validity

3.1 Vouchers are valid for 24 months from the date of issue.

3.2 Vouchers are valid only for the number of pets and the duration stated at the time of purchase (e.g., 5 days or 10 days; up to 2 dogs, up to 2 cats, or up to 3 mixed pets (cats and dogs)).

3.3 Additional days may be added at A-Breed-Apart’s premium day rate.

3.4 Vouchers are non-refundable but may be transferred, subject to a new Pre-Check review and acceptance.

3.5 Lost vouchers may be reissued at A-Breed-Apart’s discretion, provided the buyer’s or recipient’s identity can be confirmed.

4. Redeeming a Voucher

4.1 Vouchers can be redeemed by scanning the QR code on the voucher or visiting the Redemption Page linked on the website.

4.2 Sucessful redemption requires the recipient to:

  • Provide their voucher number and date of issue
  • Submit preferred dates which align with sitter availability
  • Confirm that current pet care requirements and home details align with our service.

4.3 A redemption request does not constitute a confirmed booking until A-Breed-Apart confirms availability in writing.

4.4 Redemption requests will be responded to within 48 hours.

4.5 A-Breed-Apart may request additional information to ensure safe and suitable care.

5. Availability & Booking Policy

5.1 All bookings are subject to sitter availability.

5.2 Availability is curated and limited to maintain the exclusivity and high standard of the Gift Experience.

5.3 Some periods may be shown as “Unavailable” or “Limited Availability” on the Gift Experience Availability Calendar.

5.4 If a recipient’s preferred dates are unavailable, A-Breed-Apart will offer alternative options within the voucher’s validity period.

5.5 A-Breed-Apart is not responsible for travel costs or other losses arising from unavailable dates.

6. Service Area

6.1 The Gift Experience is available only within A-Breed-Apart’s service area: Selected parts of the Cotswolds, Wiltshire, Oxfordshire, and West Berkshire, or locations bordering these areas.

6.2 Redemption requests outside this area may be reviewed on a case by case basis.

7. Pet Behaviour, Safety & Home Standards

7.1 For the safety of all pets and the sitters, A-Breed-Apart requires that all pets be:

  • Non-aggressive toward people
  • Manageable on lead (for dogs)
  • Suitable for a live-in sitter environment

7.2 Pets with severe aggression, unmanaged reactivity, or complex behavioural risk may not be eligible for the Gift Experience.

7.3 Homes must be safe, hygienic, and in reasonable working order, with functional heating, electricity, hot water, and secure entry.

7.4 Parking must be provided on site or within a short walk and be reasonably safe.

7.5 There will be no other persons living or sleeping over at the address (boarders, carers etc) for the full duration of the gift experience.

7.4 If essential conditions are not met at the point of redemption, A-Breed-Apart reserves the right to decline the booking.

8. Cancellations

8.1 If A-Breed-Apart must cancel due to emergency, illness, or unforeseen circumstances, recipients will be offered:

  • alternative dates, or
  • an extension of voucher validity

(Refunds are not provided for vouchers.)

8.2 If the recipient cancels after a date has been confirmed, alternative dates may be offered at A-Breed-Apart’s discretion, subject to availability.

9. Liability

9.1 A-Breed-Apart holds full public liability insurance relevant to pet sitting and housesitting services.

9.2 A-Breed-Apart is not liable for:

  • pre-existing structural issues
  • appliance failures
  • system breakdowns
  • damage caused by the pets themselves
  • losses resulting from inaccurate information provided during redemption

9.3 The recipient is responsible for providing truthful, complete, and current information regarding their pets and home.

10. Data Protection

10.1 Personal information collected through the Pre-Check and Redemption Form is used solely for assessing eligibility and delivering the Gift Experience.

10.2 Information is stored securely and not shared with third parties except where required by law.

11. General

11.1 A-Breed-Apart may update these terms at any time. Current terms will always appear on the Gift Experience page or Redemption Page.

11.2 By purchasing or redeeming a voucher, buyers and recipients acknowledge acceptance of these Terms & Conditions.
